Northern Regional Manager / Decedent Transfer Technician
Location: Prince George, Cariboo, and Peace regions
Pay: From $28.00 per hour during the probationary period
Pay Frequency: Weekly pay
Schedule: On-call / operational full-time availability
Work Location: On the road
We are seeking a composed, organized, and mission-driven individual to serve in a dual-capacity role as Northern Regional Manager / Decedent Transfer Technician.
This position combines regional leadership responsibilities with frontline decedent transfer work. The successful candidate will oversee regional field operations, support and mentor team members, ensure policy compliance, manage call assignments and response efficiency, and maintain Serenity Transfer Service Ltd.’s high standard of professional care.
In addition to leadership duties, this role also involves responding directly to transfer calls as needed. The Northern Regional Manager must be prepared to safely and respectfully transport decedents, complete documentation, communicate with healthcare providers and partner agencies, and remain calm and professional in sensitive and challenging environments.
This role requires strong leadership skills, emotional maturity, excellent communication, physical capability, and the flexibility to travel or remain in another region with limited notice when operational needs arise.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Staffing
• Ensure adequate staffing levels within the region
• Monitor technician availability and assist with scheduling based on call volume
• Support, mentor, and conduct check-ins with team members
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards
Operational Oversight
• Manage regional call assignments, response times, and deployment efficiency
• Travel between service areas when operationally required
• Oversee documentation, reporting, and quality assurance
• Ensure vehicles remain clean, equipped, maintained, and operational
• Maintain strict confidentiality in all matters
Administrative Duties
• Use Outlook, Teams, and internal systems for communication and scheduling
• Maintain professional relationships with hospitals, care homes, law enforcement, and funeral home partners
• Provide operational updates and reporting to senior leadership
Transfer Technician Duties
• Respond promptly to transfer calls, often on short notice
• Safely and respectfully transport decedents using company vehicles
• Navigate tight spaces, stairs, cluttered environments, and varied settings
• Complete required documentation accurately and professionally
• Interact compassionately with families, healthcare staff, authorities, and partner agencies
• Travel throughout the region in varying weather and road conditions
Requirements
• Valid unrestricted Class 5 driver’s licence
• Reliable personal vehicle to travel to designated meeting points or fleet vehicle locations
• Ability to lift 150+ lbs independently and assist with transfers up to 300 lbs with a partner
• Clear criminal record check, provided at no cost to the applicant
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
• Emotional maturity and composure in sensitive situations
• Comfort working with deceased individuals in various conditions
• Ability to provide required dress code attire: plain black collared shirt, black pants, and closed-toe black shoes or boots

• Starting wage from $28.00 per hour during the first 90 days
