Job Opportunity: Funeral Director & Embalmer

Maple Ridge Funeral Chapel & Crematorium is seeking a compassionate, experienced Funeral Director and Embalmer to join our dedicated team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be dual licensed and possess a deep understanding, love, and respect for all families’ needs but with a primary focus on faith-based families.  Consideration for the rites, rituals, and sacraments of religious ceremonies is of the utmost importance. This is mainly a funeral director position, although the successful candidate may be required to cover the prep room from time-to-time during busy periods or for vacation coverage.

Requirements:

• Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer
• Familiarity with the Catholic Funeral Mass and other expressions of faith such as Christian/Orthodox/Hindu/Sikh.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• High level of professionalism, discretion, empathy, and passion
• Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team

We serve people of all faiths and backgrounds but have a special connection with Christian/Catholic families.  The ideal candidate will have a solid familiarity, excellent knowledge and comfort working with Christian families, whilst sharing the values of the faith.

Salary: Salary and benefits are based on experience and within industry norms for licensed funeral directors and embalmers.
