Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Care Centre Manager to lead our Care Centre team. This position plays a vital role in overseeing the respectful and professional care of the deceased, managing day-to-day operations of the facility, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and ethical standards. The ideal candidate brings a strong sense of leadership, discretion, and dedication to service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily operations of the Care Centre, including scheduling, logistics, and workflow coordination.
Supervise and mentor a team of licensed embalmers, transfer staff, and care attendants.
Ensure all preparation, embalming, dressing, and casketing is performed in accordance with industry regulations and McCall Gardens’ high standards.
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold privacy and legal compliance with provincial and federal regulations.
Oversee inventory and supply ordering for the Care Centre.
Liaise with funeral directors, families, and other departments to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
Provide on-call support and emergency response leadership as needed.

Qualifications:
Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in British Columbia (or eligible for licensing).
Minimum 3 years of experience in funeral care or mortuary management; prior leadership experience preferred.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Ability to lead with empathy, professionalism, and discretion.
Familiarity with safety protocols, WHMIS, and infection control procedures.
Comfortable using funeral management software and related digital tools.
