Lacee Barr

Director
Lacee is a Director on the BCFA Board
Lacee is a Landscape Architect at LEES, a landscape architecture and planning firm specializing in cemetery planning and design. She has contributed to a wide range of projects across North America, from small memorial gardens to large-scale urban burial parks.
Lacee is passionate about the evolving role of cemeteries in contemporary communities. She advocates for cemeteries to be recognized as sacred spaces that not only serve the needs of remembrance and memorialization but also contribute to the broader urban landscape by providing opportunities for passive recreation and wildlife habitat.
Having joined the Board in 2026, she looks forward to collaborating with like-minded professionals to support the advancement of the funeral and cemetery profession, and contribute to meaningful discussions about the future of death care and memorialization in British Columbia.
Outside of work, Lacee enjoys hiking, exploring by bike, caring for her ducks and chickens, and knitting.
