Howard Jampolsky
Director, Government and Legal Committee
Howard joined the BCFA Board in May, 2024. Howard is serving his first year as a member of the Government and Legal Committee
Howard was born and raised in Vancouver and has lived in Richmond for the past 28 years. He and his wife Marla have three children – Marissa (27), Elise (24), and Jake (14).
Howard got his start in business working for his family’s retail clothing chain in the 1980s and 90s. in 1997, he founded a company that provides automation and control systems for government water utilities in B.C., as well as in Southeast Asia and throughout the Caribbean.
In 2014, Howard took on the role of Executive Director of the Schara Tzedeck Cemetery Board which operates three cemeteries, and a funeral home that serves the entire Jewish community of Greater Vancouver. In 2018, he obtained his Funeral Director License.
Howard has been active at all levels of government and has served on several professional boards, including the Board of Directors of the Vancouver Airport Authority from 2011 until 2020. He currently serves as a volunteer board member of the Vancouver Hospice Society and is a national board member for the Jewish National Fund of Canada.
Howard enjoys playing ice hockey and has been a licensed private pilot for over 40 years flying recreationally and for business.
Howard looks forward to working to further the BCFA’s mandate for the betterment of all people in British Columbia who need the compassionate services of those in our profession.
